1. Terms & conditions
By browsing this website or submitting any form on it, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
The information published here — programmes, eligibility criteria, facilities, fee indications and academic dates — is for general guidance. Eligibility norms and academic requirements are set by the West Bengal Nursing Council and the Indian Nursing Council, and those bodies' rules prevail over anything stated on this website.
Submitting an enquiry form does not create a right to admission. Admission to GNM runs through the WBJEEB entrance examination and centralised counselling; a seat is confirmed only after allotment through that process, verification of original documents and payment of the applicable fees. We do not offer direct admission, management quota or donation seats.
All content on this site — text, logos, photographs and design — belongs to Annapurna Nursing Institute or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced or reused without written permission. We make reasonable efforts to keep this site accurate and available, but we do not warrant uninterrupted availability and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from its use. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal have exclusive jurisdiction.
2. Fees & payments
· The fee structure applicable to your batch is shared in writing during counselling, before you pay anything.
· Fees may be payable in instalments where the institute has approved a schedule. Instalment dates are part of your admission letter.
· Always obtain and retain an official receipt for every payment. Payments made to any individual without an institute receipt are not recognised.
· Examination, registration and university fees charged by the nursing councils are collected on their behalf and are governed by their rules.
· Where a student is funded through the West Bengal Student Credit Card or a scholarship scheme, the student remains responsible for fees until the sanctioned amount is disbursed.
3. Refund policy
If you withdraw after paying fees, refunds are processed as follows. Withdrawal must be requested in writing, signed by the student and guardian, and submitted at the Durgapur campus.
Where a regulatory body or state government notification prescribes a different refund schedule, that notification takes precedence over this section.
4. Student conduct
· Attendance requirements set by the West Bengal Nursing Council (WBNC) must be met to appear for examinations.
· Patient confidentiality must be maintained at all times during clinical postings. Photography of patients or records is not permitted.
· Prescribed uniform and identity card are compulsory in class, in the labs and on clinical duty.
· Ragging in any form, substance use on campus and damage to institute property are treated as serious misconduct and may lead to disciplinary action including expulsion.
· Portal accounts are personal. Course materials provided through the Student Zone learning portal at lms.shmedu.in are for enrolled students and may not be redistributed.
5. Mandatory disclosures
Sanctioned intake, inspection reports and the current approval letters are available for inspection at the campus office on request.
